So my previous review definitely needs an amendment to it. After posting about my unfortunate dining experience, the owner privately reached out to me to explain how sorry he was and if he could personally send a gift certificate to me. Not only is that an extremely nice gesture, but that's definitely how you show great customer service! I was very happy with how responsive and generous he was. Outside of my order being incorrect, my friends and I actually had a great time. The margaritas were fantastic and all of the other food we sampled was outstanding. I'll definitely be making another trip to C.O. Jones with my friends in the near future!

I needed a strong drink after the work week... best place to go? C.O.Jones Happy Hour 5-7pm on a Friday? (Literally walked in about 5:02 pm) ;-) Sign me up! They immediately bring out tortilla chips with a delicious salsa. We ordered guacamole to start... one of our new favorites since our favorite Mexican restaurant closed down. I'm absolutely in love with their mango margarita on the rocks. 3.50 for a small... absolutely perfect. I believe it was 5.50 for a large prickly pear...also, still a deal. I really wish they had the strawberry margarita available that evening but not a huge loss since I thoroughly enjoyed my mango margarita! The 3 tacos for 1/2 price made my boyfriend's stomach do a happy dance... although I had to break the mold and order something not on the happy hour menu.... I'm a huge fan of the BBQ pork burrito...although the amount of slaw (too much for my taste) takes away from some of the meal... I wouldn't deduct a star for my weirdo personal tastes. :-) Our server was taking care of all the tables, which steadily filled up throughout our 40 minute visit. She still was able to check in with us every time she walked by...having the corner seat right by the bar and kitchen has it's advantages!

I'm giving this a 4/5 because this place exceeded my expectations. The new happy hour on Friday (5-7?) features 1/2 price margaritas, 1/2 price wine, 1/2 price beers, and 1/2 price select tacos and appetizers. Additionally they had a complimentary vegetarian burrito bar which helps soak up the alcohol from the STRONG frozen margaritas. We ordered classic margaritas on the rocks for the first round (because I think they taste better). The waitress suggested the frozen margaritas for a bigger punch, and she was right! They tasted a bit much like orange juice for my taste, but there was plenty of tequila in them! We mixed and matched the tacos (3 per order) and got one of each: (1) shredded chicken (3/5), (2) black bean, portobello, and goat cheese (4/5), and (3) sweet potato and black bean (4/5). Overall we ordered 5 margaritas, 3 tacos (which are a little bigger than the average street taco) and also enjoyed a few complimentary burritos for ~$30 before tip. Wonderfully mixed crowd, good wait staff, and a good vibe overall!

I joined a couple of girlfriends at Co Jones. All in all, it is a small location with good prices and a basic menu. Verdict: Nothing phenomenal, nor terrible.

If you want authentic Mexican, go to a taco truck on Long Wharf. This is in no way authentic Mexican. Which is fine because they don't really pretend to be. I knew what I was getting myself into so I'm not going to complain. That said, I liked my chicken tostada, the balsamic sauce for it was interesting. I also got some fried plantains which were tasty. The drinks were kind of expensive, but they were large and hit like a truck. I had the love potion #9. Then again, I had a living social deal for $20 so I was trying to jack up the bill, because the food itself wasn't terribly pricy and I was eating by myself, so I did pick one of the more expensive choices. I'll be back. Next time I want yucca fries. Also lol at the name of the place.

1st visit was on a Saturday night earlier this year, I would have given them 5 stars. Dined here for dinner, ordered the california salad with grilled steak and cilantro dressing, delicious, healthy and filling. I had the diablo margarita on the rocks, made to perfection. 2nd visit this past Friday night, ordered the same salad, they were out of the cilantro dressing and a few others. I ordered the diabo margarita on the rocks, left so much to be desired. New/different bartender? Not sure. My friend ordered the parrothead margarita on the rocks, again much left to be desired. Cool and cozy vibe, indoor and outdoor seating. Good service, good prices, will be back and I hope the drinks are better. *they serve complimentary chips and salsa while you wait for your food, the first seriving is on the house, if you want more I think it's $1.50.

Best margaritas in town!! There are so many flavor options and ways to salt or sugar the rim. The food is good and happy hour specials are great, but there is something about those margaritas. Especially the jalapeño ones when they're available (sounds crazy but tastes great!) Definitely get there if you're a 'rita fan :) PS - Awesome, friendly staff as well as a diverse dining crowd. It's just a chill spot to share some drinks and laughs!
